Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Güllich is responsible for strategy, finance and legal activities, while remaining engaged in key client relationships. With 14+ years of experience in consultancies and financial institutions, he has made key contributions to the development of multiple credit and operational risk management solutions.

He holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science Management from the European Business School, Östrich-Winkel, Germany. His PhD assessed the use of fuzzy-logic decision systems to evaluate and manage credit risk.

Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Wegmann's responsibilities cover product strategy and key operational tasks. He leads all strategic client engagements, contributing his deep knowledge of advanced conceptual and quantification methods during project implementation.

Dr. Wegmann graduated from the prestigious University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, where he was research assistant to Heinz Zimmermann and project leader in firm-wide risk management, 1997 to 2001. Active lecturer on Capital Markets and Risk Management since 2001 at Basel University. He periodically acts as Conference Referee for the Swiss Society for Financial Markets Research.

Vice President - Global Sales

Mirko is responsible for Avanon's global sales and field operations. Mirko is a seasoned, result-driven general and sales management executive with proven track record to drive business growth. Mirko began his career at IBM, then joined Cisco Systems in Switzerland as a Regional Manager, responsible for managing Cisco’s sales presence in Switzerland and Eastern Europe.

At FileNet Corp, an IBM Company, he served as Country Director for Switzerland, Austria and Eastern Europe, where he also successfully managed the business from startup to market leadership. More recently he was Country Manager at Computer Associates. With a track record of establishing highly successful businesses in international markets with both direct and indirect distribution strategies Mirko brings specific skills and world class knowledge to Avanon's Executive Team.

Vice President - Business Development

Colin is responsible for Avanon's international business development, combined with managing the firm's analyst relations and selected marketing activities.

He joined the firm in early 2007, bringing with him 17 years experience in trading, back office and risk management software sales and consulting at SunGard, SAS, Thomson Financial and OpRisk Advisory. He earned his BA from the University of Colorado and MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona.

Chief Technology Officer

Danilo Tommasina is responsible for software architecture and all product development.

He has 10 years experience technical background in the design, implementation and maintenance of J2EE applications, extending to design and development of all tiers of J2EE applications, technical project management, resource planning, design and implementation of object relational mapping environments, integration of legacy systems into modern J2EE applications. Danilo earned an advanced Degree in Telecommunications from the University of Applied Sciences Chur, Switzerland.
